Major, Corps of Top. Engineers, July 7, 1838 versus Corps of Engineers Suggestion Comment
editCullums register shows that Turnbull never was a member of the Corps of Engineers but a member of the old Topographical Corps, specifically Superintending Topographical Engineer of the construction of the Potomac Aqueduct at Georgetown, D.
