I think Currah (Currah, R.S. 1985. Taxonomy of the Onygenales: Arthrodermataceae, Gymnoascaceae, Myxotrichaceae and Onygenaceae. Mycotaxon. 24:1-216) should have some more info on this fungus - he did a fair amount of work in this area. I remember he fruited it on Weitzman and Silva-Hutner's agar, and he examined a number of isolates of it from a variety of places. There is some physiological info around as well, e.g., [1]. Here's a quirky reference where it was found in a cave in Spain [2]. Also this one on animal fur remains [3]. Here are links we have to a few strains with some info [4]. Not sure if you will see this but, I cannot get the family name to appear in the taxobox even though I typed it in the code. Other than that, I cut out what I thought was irrelevant information that did not add much to the article. Finally, under the usages, since I could only find those two studies, I described them in detail and might have overcited the second article. Had a look at the sources you suggested but did not find information that was too different from what I already had. Thought the instance of the species in that cave in Spain was interesting though.
