The link that search bot said was plagerism actually says their source is Wikipedia. So, there is no plagerism. Patken4 (talk) 23:56, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Article class rating

edit

Article needs to be broken into sections or before a "start" class is given. Otherwise it needs to remain at "stub". Maybe a section on "History", "Dance era", and "Rebirth", etc. A picture would help. Thanks. Pknkly (talk) 03:44, 28 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Mastodon

edit

Please consider deleting self-promotional, not very historically significant reference to the band Mastodon. Relgif (talk) 02:39, 20 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Latin American Dances/Concerts

edit

More information needs to be added regarding all the Latin American dance/concerts that used to be held at the Aragon Ballroom. For example, La Sonora Santanera, Jose José, and many other bands that performed there for dances from the time I lived in Chicago from 1969-1973. I was a regular attendee every Saturday night. It was so much fun, and I have many fond memories of the music and dancing. This is just a suggestion, not n necessarily for publishing. Rosymoore (talk) 15:12, 21 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Selected performances section

edit

I've removed it because Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information and it's just far too much detail for Wikipedia ... we're not a free web host and not a vehicle for promotion. It was added just a few months ago by an executive of the company who by definition has an extreme conflict of interest and should not be directly editing this article. I can't find any similar pages with lists like this and if such a list was added, it would need reliable sources on each entry showing their significance compared to other performances on the list. I came across this list while checking contributions of an IP range and finding these edits, which were basically promotional. Graham87 (talk) 06:30, 24 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

A section like Nederlander Theatre (Chicago)#Notable productions would be much more helpful than a very large unsourced list of concerts. Graham87 (talk) 06:39, 24 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ditto for local bands. Graham87 (talk) 07:14, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
