Article repeated

edit

There is an article by now dealing with about the same matter, so the article is redundant. Iñaki LL (talk) 14:35, 4 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I've copyedited and expanded this article now. My feeling is that the park itself has enough interest to stand on its own versus the Aralar Range which might have a more geographic emphasis. I was also thinking the Aralar Range article might be better named the "Sierra Aralar". Regards, Myrtle. Myrtlegroggins (talk) 12:31, 15 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Also, what might be nice would be to move the lists of mountain peaks to the Aralar range article as I'm not sure that these are all within the park per se. Myrtlegroggins (talk) 12:55, 15 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Hi! I was thinking what to do with this article and the National Park thing. It happens in other mountain articles as well. The pattern followed varies, but the massif is prevalent as far as I know. Aizkorri's main article is about the the massif, plus a citation of the National Park. Aiako Harria / Peñas de Aya is about the massif as well. Gorbea is also about the massif. In the Spanish language wikipedia [Penas de Aya is a Natural Park].
The Natural Park of Aralar applies to the side of Gipuzkoa, not Navarre. However, in this article the peaks on Navarre are also included. I think it is more about the range itself beyond administrative boundaries, so that all the data relevant to this ecosystem can remain in just one article. Natural Park specific info may be added to a section.
To be honest, it is known as bare Aralar in the area ("Aralarrera noa", "Voy a Aralar"), a typical Basque speaking one, so I would just stick to the English form (Range). Regards Iñaki LL (talk) 23:05, 15 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Hi there. I can see what you mean. Would you be happy for me to start copying the Aralar Natural Park information over to the Aralar Ranges article in a new section?

cheers, Myrtle. Myrtlegroggins (talk) 08:03, 16 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Perfect, please do! Thanks Iñaki LL (talk) 09:32, 16 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi! This article has been merged into Aralar Range. Is it time to delete Aralar Natural Park? Regards, MyrtleMyrtlegroggins (talk) 22:10, 16 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

It looks good to me. I'll tweak it later for details. After moving all the categories, now it's about deleting all the information from the Natural Park page and get a blank page. You need a redirect to Aralar Range at the top of the page, something like #REDIRECT Aralar Range. Should be enough, the talk page should remain as before. Hello, I'm going to busy the next little while, so go ahead if you have the time, or I will get to it when I can. Regards, Myrtle. Myrtlegroggins (talk) 16:18, 17 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

That's good, I'll do it myself when I get round to do it. Regards and thanks Iñaki LL (talk) 17:21, 17 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
