Issues with article

edit

There are a number of problems with the article:

  1. Arben Zharku is an Albanian spelling variation and there is no need to add that to the headword.
  2. The subject was born in Serbia whilst in Yugoslavia and therefore his name in his country's official language is required. Removing it to replace it with the redundant Albanian form is disruptive and it violates consensus reach long ago.
  3. The idea of giving "Kosova" as place of birth is factually incorrect. In English, Kosova could apply to Kosovo, Belarus or Kosova, Estonia. The English name for the disputed region in southeastern Europe is Kosovo - click Kosova and see where it sends you.
  4. The name of the birthtown for the subject is Kačanik, click Kaçanik and see where it sends you. Note also the subject was born in 1982 which was before Kosovo's declaration of independence and before the UNMIK period, subsequently before English may have started to adopt Albanian language names for settlements in the former Yugoslavia.
  5. Kosovo per se is misleading and irrelevant. The exact description for the Kosovo in which he was born is SAP Kosovo. Click link and you'll see that 1982 is covered in this section.
  6. SAP Kosovo was a mid-level entity at the time of his birth, sandwiched between his birthtown and its host republic, SR Serbia. These in turn were part of SFR Yugoslavia.

To this end, if I see a revision containing spurious historical revisionism such as this one which flouts every aspect of the above list, I believe I am justified in reverting it as the version being cancelled blatantly introduces factually incorrect information. That coupled with the horrendous presentation hints heavily that the other information being introduced is false. Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 11:24, 2 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
