10-digit dialing; VoIP providers' requirements
editIt is to be noted that mandating 10-digit dialing is illogical to many as long as you want to call the same area code. Hence, most VoIP providers in Montreal continue to allow 7-digit dialing, and even the last 4 digits if the 3 first are the same, for some of them.[citation needed] Posted Apr 3, 2008 by anonymous user.
- Ten-digit dialling should never have been implemented, see number pooling for what could've been done to stop wasting so many numbers. K7L (talk) 06:17, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
438 expansion
editOnce 438 is activated over 450, this will need to be moved back to Area code 514, as 514 and 438 would no longer be concurrent. CrazyC83 (talk) 19:43, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
- Looks like it didn´t happen that way. K7L (talk) 06:17, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
