The map used in this (and probably other) articles has a real problem--Area code 775 could easily be mistaken, along with 702 and 928, as being California area codes. This is because someone (trying to be helpful, no doubt) wanted to show what area codes were on the other side of the border. Sure, they're a different color, but because they happen to cut off using lines almost parallel to the actual CA/NV border. I'm sure the person who made the maps thinks it's perfectly clear, but as someone who taught US geography for many years, my knowledge of state boundaries actually made this less clear. The color coding is simply unclear (note that area code 213 is also green). I don't think this map is salvageable, and I hope someone redoes it, with the intent of making it clear what ACs are out of state. 98.82.93.68 (talk) 00:24, 12 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
