The result of the move request was: Moved to Areyto (album) (non-admin closure) walk victor falk talk 05:13, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
Areyto → Areyto (Puya album) – This is specifically about an album, The Areyto as such could either be this or a specific festival of a Pre-Colombian/Early colombian peoples- see Tibes_Indigenous_Ceremonial_Center#Areyto. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:11, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
- Create Areyto (disambiguation) first so that this rationale can be validated and a primary topic, or a lack thereof, can be determined. Until then, I oppose. Steel1943 (talk) 23:43, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
- Support - but adapted to User:Steel1943's concerns, and base article areíto (not dab yet) created. Areyto is a variant spelling of Areíto (I don't have dictionary handy to indicate which countries use which in Spanish, but English sources mix both, so it is moot for en.wp) I was surprised, perhaps I shouldn't have been, that areíto had no article, and that the super notable Areíto (Juan Luis Guerra album) was occupying the slot. (I happen to own a copy, so hesitated before moving it off base space, but really unavoidable - given Books and incoming links from Template:Folk music traditions, List of Caribbean music genres, List of Caribbean folk music traditions, Anacaona etc.). A hatnote will cover the two albums for the time being since no 4th subject jumping out, yet. (also Areyto (album) isn't a significant enough spelling difference to be more than a redirect imho, given that pronunciation and meaning with the JLG album is identical, no one is likely to misspell the JLG album, but they could easily get lost looking for the Puya one). - Comment I initially closed this as no move, but when adding the necessary tags to distinguish the three articles (this, Areíto, and Areíto (album)) it became clear to me that the musical form currently at Areíto is the primary topic of the term "Areyto". In fact, "Areyto" may even be more common for the music than "Areito": Google Books returns 4,230 hits for for Areyto song and 1640 for Areito song. Meanwhile Areyto Puya only returns 23 hits, few of which are relevant.
- I support a move to Areyto (album) and redirecting "Areyto" to Areíto. I oppose the suggested name Areyto (Puya album) as over-precise and insufficiently concise; the other album, Areíto (album), is spelled differently, and they now have hat notes to distinguish them. Finally, we can review the sources to determine whether the article on the music form should be Arieto or Areyto, but that will be a different RM; the important thing is making sure both terms lead to that article, as it's the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC of both spellings.--Cúchullain t/c 16:18, 14 May 2014 (UTC)
- Then support as second choice Areyto (album), I believe a minor spelling difference will confuse those looking for Areíto (album) but then our overall practice is to avoid artist names in music titles if at all possible, so this is hardly an exception.
