Merge

edit

Following the merging proposals for Flitwick, Sprout and Lockhart, Filch's article is also considered for merging into Minor Hogwarts teachers. Lord Opeth 17:34, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Question of Allegiance

edit

On the infobox, Filch's allegiance is listed as "Hogwarts," yet his name's coloration implies that he is loyal to the Ministry of Magic (see WikiProject:Harry Potter's guide to coloration). Though a good argument could be made both ways (Filch supported Umbridge, but he never leaves Dumbledore to show any particular support for the Ministry), it would be best to go with one for the sake of consistency. I edited the "Alleigance" section of the infobox to help explain the inconsistency, but it might need some work. --Phi*n!x 20:17, 6 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

mrs norris picture and old filch picture

edit

can we get a good picture of mrs.norris and what happened to that old image of filch?. anyone?

I removed the second image of Filch because it was redundant with the other image and thus violates fair use. However, it remains on the list of images for the WikiProject. I'll see about getting an image of Mrs. Norris. I added Mrs. Norris to the list of needed images at the WikiProject image page. -Phi*n!x 20:47, 21 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Argus.jpg

edit

Image:Argus.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 19:33, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
