Not personal info

edit

How is this a privacy issue? It's not like I'm posting her phone number or home address. Her full name, birth date, and brief accounts of her personal life are encyclopedic details that almost every Wikipedia article on a living person includes: John Lennon, Barack Obama, Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, EVERYONE. And if you're honestly going to claim that she told you personally to take it down: a)This is the internet! I could say I'm friends with the Queen of England and you would have no way of knowing whether or not I'm lying. Not saying you are, just saying I can't know. And b)even if you did actually hear it from her and she did actually say that, so what? Wikipedia is supposed to be encyclopedic and objective, not just a collection of what celebrities would like to hear about themselves. We can't remove accurate and significant information just because it makes somebody feel bad. Now if she legally changed her name, or put out a press release explaining why she doesn't use her last name, that would be one thing. But just because she "prefers" something is not grounds to remove factual information.

(My apologies for the rant, but I hope you get where I'm coming from.)--Invisiboy42293 (talk) 19:31, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
