editThis article is, in fact, my first. Please help me expand it! This article could be merged with an article about the Ariel satellite series if and when that article is created.

editI have removed the image, which is not of Ariel 3. The misidentification was spotted by a member of the Ariel 3 instrumentation team from Sheffield University. He began work on it in 1962, eventually gaining his PhD on his contribution. There may be a problem of establishing copyright accessibility other images which are of Ariel 3 but for the moment no image is better than a wrong one.TSRL (talk) 11:27, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
