For the sake of the full understanding of "Armenians in Romania/Moldova" phenomenon one should mention that there are cities, whose first documented mentioning are actually predated by the foundation of Armenian churches. Suceava, if I am not mistaken, comes to mind. If I am not mistaken there is another city in Romania's Moldova (Iasi?), where the local church predates the generally-accepted year of foundation of the medieval principality of Moldavia.
