No recording available yet
editIn 1984 Jürgen Jürgens was intended to record with the Monteverdi-Chor and the Israel Chamber Orchestra the complete set of the religious works, composed by Bruckner during his stay in St. Florian Abbey and the beginning of his stay in Linz.
A first LP was issued with the Missa solemnis, the Magnificat and two motets. Three other LPs were also foreseen, including, i.a., the five early cantatas. Some of the other works were performed, but not issued at that time. A CD with the performed works (Requiem, Libera me, Vor Arneths Grab, the Two Aequali and the first Totenlied) has recently been issued.
For the last two of the early cantatas (Mayer Cantata and Festgesang) there is a single recording by Thomas Kerbl. For Entsagen there is as yet only a live recording available on YouTube. For the other two earlier cantatas (Vergißmeinnicht and the Arneth Cantata) there is unfortunately no recording as yet available. --Réginald alias Meneerke bloem (To reply) 13:09, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
