Arnošt Valenta – The person in question was a Czechoslovak national and of Czech ethnicity, therefore he should be listed under his true (i.e. Czech) first name, not under an anglicized version. Miaow Miaow (talk) 16:36, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose – we generally prefer to use names as represented in English-language sources. Dicklyon (talk) 04:03, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose -- His sole notability is as a RAF pilot, in respect of which he no doubt used the anglicised version of his name. In fact quite a number of Czechs fighting in British pay used names different from their original one, and continued to do so after the war, for example Robert Maxwell, no doubt to protect them from the fate of the subject here by concealing their true identity. - Comment - is the subject even notable in the first place? I don't see enough sourcing to meet consensus for an article as per Wikipedia:WikiProject_Military_history/Notability_guide#People. GraemeLeggett (talk) 20:15, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

- Oppose -- You both are simply not right. He was listed in RAF under his real name Arnost Valenta, he never used Ernst Valenta while in RAF. If you think oppossite, please provide proofs, but so far I havent seen any. The name will be changed to his real and only name Arnost Valenta then. Here[1] you can find his RAF ID tags clearly showing his first name as A. Valenta, not E. Valenta. And if you do not consider someone who fought for freedom of this world, being one of 50 who escaped during one of the most famous escape from camp during WW2 as "notable", then its time to shut this stupid website down completly.Radek Havelka (talk) 07:19, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
