Apparently it has been suggested that this article be merged with the Bodie, California article.
However, I would disagree with that suggestion. "Arrested decay" is a generic phrase that applies to a good many subjects other than ghost towns, and definitely not just Bodie.
I agree. People have used this term not in context with Bodie, and I don't think it should be merged. Whoever suggested to merge should explain why here. Brandonrush 20:38, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
I think it's pretty clear that the notion applies outside Bodie. Stubs aren't necessarily loose ends that need to be snipped off. It's fine as it is. I don't see any support for the merge in either article's talk. If there isn't any further discussion or support for the merge soon, I say the merge template be removed from the arrested decay article. Is there a particular guideline on that? - Opposed - Unsourced article that does not belong on Brodie, CA page. Ronbo76 21:51, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Someone should remove the tag for merger. There is no support for the merger here or on Bodie, California's page, and this is a term more often then not used outside discussions about Bodie.
