The phrase "requesting that his readers overlook the heretical content of the pagan poem" isn't very accurate. The prefatory materials explain that the "pagan" content is in reality a reflection of sacred scripture in a mythological idiom. This needs work.--BenJonson14:28, 26 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
