Prince of Wales's quip

I don't understand the Prince of Wales's quip about him "running away from Father." The article explicitly states that he got his parents' permission before enlisting. Is there missing context here? Brutannica (talk) 18:34, 26 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello Brutannica, see the second sentence in the paragraph before the Prince's quip. "Sullivan wished to return to Australia immediately without waiting for his investiture by King George V." Sullivan had "run away" from the Prince's father. JennyOz (talk) 03:55, 27 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
