editI restored the change "thinker" instead of "geographer".this was not a test but a real correction, Israel Eldad was an underground leader, philosophy teacher and publik thinker, he had nothing to do with geography. there is another isreli MK - Matan Vilnai whose father zeev vilnai was a well known geographer
"Samaria"?
editI wonder, is there really a reliable source for the claim that a part of the West Bank is called "Samaria"? To me, it appears to be Israel-specific (and thus POV) terminology. I suggest simply "The northern part of the West Bank". MeteorMaker (talk) 15:48, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- A user reverted the change described above [1] to the earlier problematic version, with the edit summary "see TALK:Israeli_settlement", without specifying what exactly supports his/her revert there. If no explanation is given, I assume it's safe to restore the article to the NPOV and well-sourced version. MeteorMaker (talk) 18:52, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- The reference to Talk:Israeli settlement for the use of Samaria is disingenuous -- that argument was lost there, as the non-use of that term in the lead of that article shows. I invite User:Brewcrewer to explain his rationale here. Furthermore, the previous sentence in the same paragraph uses West Bank instead of the biblical/annexationist terms.

"Hypocrites" translates from hebrew as hyenas, not dogs.
editThe term 'dogs' has different connotations.
