                Hartford vs. Ashford

Hartford and Ashford are very different in modern days. Hartford has 1,183,110 residents, and Ashford only has 7,000-10,000 residents. Hartford has urban surroundings, but Ashford is surrounded by forests. Ashford is in located on the Northeast corner of Connecticut, and Hartford is in the center. Hartford is gigantic in size and people, and Ashford is small. But out of these two towns I like Ashford the best for it’s nice people and vast relaxing openness.

Name

edit

Does anyone have any info of why the town is called Ashford? Is it named after one of the Ashfords in the UK or after an actual ford (As many of the UK towns are).(Morcus (talk) 08:13, 27 November 2010 (UTC))Reply

Westford

edit

"Westford, Connecticut" redirects to this article, but the term "Westford" is not mentioned anywhere. Is that a former name of the town? -- Beland (talk) 21:34, 31 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Can anyone confirm that Westford is a tiny village of Ashford on Connecticut Route 89 at the intersection of Westford Road and Turnpike Road? -- Beland (talk) 21:39, 31 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Yep, it's where Oakes Rd. and Westford Hill Rd. meet.—JJBers|talk 18:01, 27 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
