Pre-GA review
editJust a couple of things Nikki
- A few things in the infobox aren't sourced, but they should be easy enough to find sources for.
- Debut and early feuds (2005–2006)
- "In June 2005, after beating the seven other chosen finalists, Massaro was declared the winner on the August 15, 2005 edition of Raw" - two conflicting dates - June 2005 and August 2005. Seems like part of a sentence or something has been removed.
- 'attacked Massaro to welcome her to Raw" doesn't really make sense - perhaps attacked her after pretending to welcome her to Raw" or something alonf those lines.
- "a jealous Mickie James" - why was James jealous?
- London and Kendrick; release (2006–2008)
- 'Surrounding the release of the cover" doesn't sound quite right to me, but maybe it's just me...
- 'Massaro had loosened a screw in her ankle that needed to be surgically repaired by being reinserted into a plate in her ankle, which was inserted last year after she legitimately fractured her tibia and fibula while in a battle royal." - whoa! Too many thoughts in one sentence - perhaps split it into two?
- Modeling and acting
- "and even appeared" - sounds very suprised imo. Remove the "even"
- That's really it, apart from a lot of inconsistency between "Ashley" and "Massaro" throughout the article. Pick one and stick with it. Good luck with the review! Go n'éirigh an bóthar leat - ♥Nici♥ 18:55, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks so much! I fixed all the above problems. Nikki♥311 22:41, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
- No problem. Glad to help! :) ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 14:10, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Father to Ashley's daughter
editWho is the father of Ashley's daughter? Why there is no mention about him? --Rimara (talk) 11:26, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
- Because it is not information that needs to be made public. There is a thing called "privacy". Darrenhusted (talk) 10:01, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
Good news I found out that Ashley's daughter Alexa's father is Austin Fierstadt. Foudn this form [[1]]. Kingzwest (talk) 20:04, 23 June 2020 (UTC)(talk)

Debut and early feuds (2005–2006)
editShe won the $250,000 Diva Search contest which included the $250,000 and a one year contract with WWE
Didn't you just say that the sentence before?
- Changed to "Her winnings included $250,000 and a one year contract with WWE." Nikki♥311 21:24, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Massaro continued to feud with the two Divas who were soon joined by Victoria, who defeated Massaro in her in-ring debut match.
"who were soon joined...who defeated Massaro" sounds like a run-on to me.
- Clarified and split in two. Nikki♥311 21:24, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
The pair defeated the trio, who became known as the Ladies in Pink (and later Vince's Devils) on several occasions including at Unforgiven and at WWE Homecoming in a 3-on-2 Bra and Panties match.[
They "became known as the Ladies in Pink...on several occasions"? Do you really mean to say that?
- Added some punctuation to clarify. Nikki♥311 21:24, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
As a result, Massaro aligned herself with Hall as they feuded with Michelle McCool and Marshall.
As a result of being a commentator, she aligned herself with Hall?
- Fixed. Nikki♥311 21:24, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
On the August 4 edition of SmackDown!, Massaro broke her knuckle in a match against Marshall.
And then what happened? Recovery news?
- Added to the beginning of the next paragraph. Nikki♥311 21:24, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
London and Kendrick; release (2006–2008)
editAshley Massaro returned to the ring on the September 8, 2006 edition of SmackDown!
After first mention, you don't need to use her full name. This goes for the other two times you use it later on in the article.
- Fixed. Nikki♥311 21:27, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Surrounding the release of the magazine
This is repeated.
- Fixed. Nikki♥311 21:27, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Personal life
editShe also has several piercings, including a 'Monroe' and 'Snakebites' on her lips.
Ref?
- I can't find anything that says "these are the piercings she has...", but her CBS.com Survivor profile has a picture of the Snakebites, and the pic in the infobox has the Monroe (although it is hard to see unless you click on it). She apparently never wears all three at the same time (which is good, b/c that would be too much!!), which is why I can't find a pic like that to link to. As for a ref, I can site the Snakebites with the CBS profile, but I think the pic is enough for the Monroe. Nikki♥311 21:51, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- OK, what exactly is a "Monroe" or "Snakebites"? I also think it's rather OR to base this on pictures you've seen. You need an actual reliable source. Noble Story (talk • contributions) 11:07, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- The terms are linked to their definitions, but I can explain it in the text to if you think that would be better. Those are the terms used to refer to those types of piercings, it isn't just what she calls them. If I added a source that had the definitions of the terms, would that be sufficient? Nikki♥311 00:04, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
- Definitions added and sourced. Nikki♥311 16:24, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

In wrestling
editWhat are the refs for all those signature moves and entrance themes? All of them need a ref.
- I removed what I couldn't find a ref for. Nikki♥311 00:19, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
The theme song "Light A Fire" by Aiden was never used by Ashley. It was the version by Nuts In A Blender that she used in the ring after the Diva Search. The song by Aiden was only included on WWE: The Music, Vol. 8 and, much like the intended themes for other wrestlers included on that album, it never saw actual use on television or at live events. 76.187.116.129 (talk) 02:29, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
Refs
editWhat makes current refs (CR) 5 and 49 reliable. CR42 doesn't exist. And take a look here, there are lots of dead links. All need to be fixed.
- 5 is an article from WWE Magazine, but I thought it would be good to add a link (hence the transcript from LordsofPain) so people could read the interview if they wanted. 49 was changed out to a ref from her official fansite (affiliated with her). All the dead links have been fixed. Nikki♥311 00:24, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Noble Story (talk • contributions) 06:30, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Ashley Massaro posted on twiter she wanted to change her wikipedia picture, I uploaded the photo she mentioned

- @HickoryOughtShirt?4: She's claimed on her verified Twitter that she owns the picture. Is this something she'll need to (have her people) contact OTRS about? —C.Fred (talk) 22:09, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
- @C.Fred: The problem is I found the photo on google and other websites so I am unsure how much she owns this photo. Just a side note, when this whole thing started she did not claim to own it yet, just wanted the photo changed, so that was where I was coming from at first. My only worry is that she is misunderstanding the term "own" and this photo has been uploaded under different names on Commons and tagged for deletion on Commons too (by other people) so those will have to be rounded up if not already taken care of. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 22:12, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
- @HickoryOughtShirt?4: Since she's engaged directly via Twitter about this, do you think it's worth sending a reply tweet to her? - @C.Fred: I was debating about that but I do not have a Twitter account. One person in the comments has mentioned this to her twice [2], [3]. I guess I'll just create one? HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 22:23, 2 February 2019 (UTC)

News of death
editIt looks like other news sources are still pointing back to the TMZ story about her, but there is starting to be wide coverage of her death. That's why I went from removing it to letting it stand. A quick reminder that WP:BLP still applies to the recently deceased, "particularly to contentious or questionable material about the dead that has implications for their living relatives and friends". —C.Fred (talk) 00:17, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
- @C.Fred: The LA times doesn't point back to TMZ, so I added it as another source for confirmation. --DannyS712 (talk) 00:51, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
- LA Times is going off a WWE statement, so I feel much more comfortable with the veracity of the story now. —C.Fred (talk) 01:02, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
- It's looking more and more like an OD....she was very frail and skeletal looking leading up to this so that's my best guess. also wondering about whether she was fearing turning 40 10 days from her death cuz the timing is suspicious to say the least. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.151.123.139 (talk) 08:46, May 17, 2019 (UTC)
Problem is her Cause of Death up on the page says suicide while clearly reports are it is still undetermined. It’s inappropriate to say the least it was a Suicide when nothing has been determined as it’s only been 24hrs.
- The Blast is reporting that it's a suicide, they apparently confirmed that through a post on a fake Shelly Martinez facebook post, per PWInsider. We should remove all suicide mentions until it gets confirmed through a more reliable source.LM2000 (talk) 23:40, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
- Aye. Or "unless" it gets confirmed. Happy thoughts! InedibleHulk (talk) 23:43, 17 May 2019 (UTC)

Sourcing and adding info on death JohnWickTheBoogeyman (talk) 02:06, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
- Not entirely sure how much more detail is needed, as what's here was sufficient before your request was made. The only question remains is whether her brain injury contributed to her depression and suicide, which has in some cases, but we may never know for her. — Wyliepedia @ 02:15, 22 May 2019 (UTC)

Cause/method of death sources
editThe cause and method of death are sourced to TMZ, which cites "multiple sources connected with the situation". Does that pass WP:RS, or should we pull it until there are other sources? —C.Fred (talk) 00:19, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
- "TMZ is a tabloid news website" ~ Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a tabloid: it is not Wikipedia's job to be sensationalist, or to be the primary vehicle for the spread of titillating claims about people's lives; Just a quote ~ in all the reliable sources I have read, they all talk about Donating ~ Just an example from ABC the ones I have seen relating to TMZ ~ state "the official cause of death has not been released" ~ I think we should wait until the official cause of death is released before we rely on TMZ reports Mitchellhobbs (talk) 10:52, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
