how to make koel active its feel so weak?
split
editWe seem to be using two taxonomies for the koels; at koel the Australian species is separate, but then redirects here where it is treated as a race! Confusing! Gill ad Wright have it as a separate species, but call it a Pacific Koel, obviously trying to confuse it with the Long-tailed Koel, which we call a Long-tailed Cuckoo. I love the idiosyncratic way we do things here! Sabine's Sunbird talk 04:59, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, it is a mess. Quite some time ago (when Pacific K. article was started), I was asked if I could check it out, but only just got the time. There may be some loose ends, but I have cleaned it up as best can be done until someone take a serious look at the taxonomy of this group with voice+genetics throughout range, esp. Wallacean versus population further north, and resident New Guinea versus Australian breeders. Note also that Pacific Koel isn't the same as the Australian Koel. • Rabo³ • 14:44, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

New images to add
editI was wondering if I could have the staff's permission to change the pictures in the species box or perhaps add new images elsewhere in the article? I have been a member of Wikipedia for nearly 13 years now, but have become active again only recently, and I am not sure how to go about this properly without offending anyone or breaking any rules.
