How is this pronounced? It "rap-eyed", "rap-E-day, or "rap-eed"? I am asking this because I thought that the Vantage, pronounced "van-tuj", was pronounced "van-tazh". 67.188.172.165 17:04, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Aston martin rapide.jpg

Image:Aston martin rapide.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:36, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Awards

Is won of "Car Design" nomination in the 2011 World Car of the Year award wrong? Urbanowatcher (talk) 07:26, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

Where is the reference? --Biker Biker (talk) 07:48, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
See that page, site and other links. Put Source tmplt if not enough. Urbanowatcher (talk) 09:49, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
What page? If the reference exists on another page then all you need to do is copy it across to this page. It's that simple. --Biker Biker (talk) 09:55, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

Manufacturer as defined by Template:Infobox automobile

To those who change the "Manufacturer" infobox to include entities building cars under contract or licence: Template:Infobox automobile defines "manufacturer" as follows:

"Manufacturer: the entity responsible for the vehicle's development, although not necessarily the company that physically assembles the vehicle"

Therefore, if the contractor or licensee is not responsible for the vehicle's development, or has not developed the licenced vehicle further, then they are not the "manufacturer" to be listed in the infobox.

4-door or 5-door fastback?

Is Rapide (and Lagonda Rapide Shooting Brake) actually four-door or five-door? According to its large full size rear door, it should be classified as 5-door, isn't it?

--Julthep (talk) 08:47, 12 August 2019 (UTC)

Thanks Kaio mh for your edit to confirm my question. So I will continue update a couple of remaining '4-door' in the article. --Julthep (talk) 08:03, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
You're welcome! It can be confusing at times. One thing that helped me figure out that dilemma is if you can directly access the passenger cabin through the trunk, then the trunklid should also be included as one of the car doors. Kaio mh (talk) 08:16, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for giving us the excellent point to identify those latest new cars that blurred the line between 4- or 5-door sedan/coupe today. --Julthep (talk) 04:50, 7 November 2019 (UTC)

Rapide-E Proposal

Current

Proposed

Here to proposed a new image on the Aston Martin RapidE. I find it better to use a complete and undisguised example to be used in the article. --Vauxford (talk) 01:36, 7 November 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for the new image, I already added it to the article. In this case, I think it better to keep both. --Julthep (talk) 04:41, 7 November 2019 (UTC)

The Aston Martin Rapide is indeed discontinued

If this isn't a reliable source there's always Google https://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2017/03/aston-martin-s-sedan-is-being-replaced-by-an-ev.html 2600:1012:B01E:7924:F3C8:197C:9E1C:C1E6 (talk) 06:54, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
