NY Times and Rumors as to route of express route

The cited Times article does not give the intermediate stops. What is the source for this claim? Dogru144 14:22, 14 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

shared trackage with PATCO?

edit

Does the Atlantic City Line really "share trackage" with PATCO, as the article says? Isn't the PATCO line run by third-rail power? Is this just a case of shared right-of-way (i.e. four tracks in a single corridor) or do the Atlantic City trains travel over the same physical tracks as the PATCO trains? --Jfruh (talk) 23:26, 27 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fixed, thanks for bringing that up! —lensovettalk04:47, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

according to satelite photos from google maps they do not share tracks , just the right of way.Tlantanu (talk) 17:51, 15 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

August 26, 2009: Suggestion: Somebody should change the stick map for the ACL, as it still gives the impression that the PATCO stations viewed from the NJT line are shared stations. They are not. The ststtion dots should only be on the PATCO line, not on the ACL. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kevin36 (talkcontribs) 01:32, 27 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

New Atlantic City Express Service

edit

I am proposing a new article titled "Atlantic City Express Service (ACES)" for the new train line from New York's Penn Station to Atlantic City's Rail Terminal with a single stop at Newark's Penn Station.

I have created a sample here: User:Mnw2000/Atlantic City Express Service (ACES) user:mnw2000 03:20, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

WJ&S is what?

edit

the history section mentrions something called WJ&S. what is it? is it just gibberish, or does it need to be explained more? I will look for a tag to tag it with.Tlantanu (talk) 21:14, 11 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Concerning the buses that run thru Atlantic City

edit

"Atlantic City Bus Terminal (2 blocks east of the station): NJT 319, 501, 502, 504, 505, 507, 508, 509, 551, 552, 553, 554, 559 buses NOTE: The 552 stops directly at the rail terminal." The 502, 504, 505, 507, 508 and 509 pick up on Atlantic Avenue in front of the bus terminal. The 552, 319, 501, 553, 554, 559, and 551 buses load at gates 2 through 8 in the loading lot between Atlantic and Arctic Avenues. And no to the above, the PATCO line does not share tracks with the Atlantic City Line, but the rails do run parallel for a bit. I am aware that it is a separate business, but should Jitneys be mentioned in the article, as they do pick up and drop off in front of the AC train terminal? Jitneys don't honor transit tickets, $2.25 a ride. There's also a train station shuttle, in the form of a white mini-schoolbus, but I admit to not know a thing about it. 98.235.175.164 (talk) 01:56, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Merging the station articles?

edit

Right now, there are six station articles that are stubs, with little to no referencing whatsoever. I doubt whether any of the station articles could ever get enough info, really. I propose all of the stations (sans Lindenwold and 30th Street) be merged to an article like List of stations on the Atlantic City Line. Of course, it'd also mention Lindenwold and 30th Street, as well as the proposed future stations along the line (AC airport, Woodcrest). Rather basic proposal. Broken template

edit

Would somebody fix that stupid broken Template:NJTransit-Atlantic-infobox? Not one single markup I tried to use from any of the other NJT templates has worked with this piece of crap! ---------User:DanTD (talk) 15:14, 4 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'm not seeing any problems with it at all. It looks perfectly fine to me, and no edits have been made since February. It doesn't seem to be on the template end. What is showing up wrong for you? Could be that the called images were screwed around with then fixed? That would make the template look wrong but not show up in the template coding. oknazevad (talk) 18:11, 4 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Trackage controlled by PRR and PRSL?

edit

The article says, "It runs over trackage that was controlled by both the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) and the Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines". The PRR and PRSL are long gone. Who owns the current tracks to Atlantic City?--Dthomsen8 (talk) 02:01, 19 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

NJ Transit from the junction with the NEC to AC itself; the NEC itself is Amtrak-owned. The sentence you refer to is in the past tense as it gives a quick summary of the line's history per WP:LEAD. oknazevad (talk) 02:21, 19 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
