page contains many species of other genera, different from Attelabus
editThe list of the many species given under Attelabus needs to be carefully revised, as the majority belong to different genera of weevils or even different families. For example, Attelabus lilii was originally described by Scopoli as Attelabus, but subsequently has been transferred to the genus Liliceris which belongs to Chrysomelidae. So, it has nothing to do with Attelabus. Even the photograph of "Attelabus cf. auratus" does not show a species of Attelabus, but another weevil belonging to the Entiminae. I am not quite sure how to proceed in this case. I guess it would be easiest, to delete the list of species altogether and start from scratch. Alex2guess (talk) 14:05, 9 August 2014 (UTC)
