Former district?
editAccording to http://www.ghanadistricts.com/reg-info.asp?RegionID=2 the Ashanti region currently contains both the Atwima District and the Atwima Mponua District. I presume that what they're calling "Atwima" is another name for the Atwima Nwabiagya District. If I'm right, then the http://www.ghanadistricts.com/district-info.asp?DistrictID=8 page contains good information about Atwima Nwabiagya. – Quadell (talk) (bounties) 15:55, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure how up-to-date or trustworthy GhanaDistricts.com is. They give the size of "Atwima" as 2411km². The same number is given in this road density report from the Ministry of Roads and Transport of Ghana, which is obviously from before the split as they don't even have Atwima Mponua yet. It seems that GhanaDistricts.com only has detailed info on the 110 old districts, but has not been updated to cover the changes that created those 28 additional districts. - Anyway, I've updated the article, and made Atwima Nwabiagya District a redirect to here. Seems the better solution. Or maybe the redirect should go in the other direction. Lupo 09:41, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
