- As I remember it the disaster was in the Eastern Auchengeich, the Lumloch was the local name for the Western Auchengeich. My father worked in the Lumloch.

Inclusion in categories seemingly relating to removed content
editThis article is in Category:Coal mining disasters in Scotland, Category:1959 disasters in the United Kingdom, Category:1959 in Scotland and Category:1959 mining disasters, presumably because it used to contain a section related to the Auchengeich mining disaster. This seems to have been removed some time ago and the article now contains no reference to the disaster. The section appears to have been moved to the Moodiesburn article on the grounds that Moddiesburn was nearer the mine. Given this, should the article now be removed from these categories as they have no direct relevance to the current content of the article? Dunarc (talk) 20:40, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
