– Per naming conventions (Neighborhood, City, State); main article is at Spokane, Washington, not Spokane Mvcg66b3r (talk) 04:24, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

- Question – where is the statement of this naming convention? Dicklyon (talk) 04:50, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
- Any specific guideline whether to use "neighborhood, city", "neighborhood, state", or "neighborhood, city, state" has not been on WP:USPLACE since at least November 2010 due to no consensus on the specific wording. See related discussion. Among other issues, you have well known neighborhoods like Haight-Ashbury and Harlem where U.S. reliable sources generally never append the city or state. And then neighborhoods like Sunset Beach, California that formerly were separate communities, then annexed into cities, but reliable sources could still refer to them by "name, state". - Oppose! Technically, this move request broke RMCD bot. But it is also pointless. Spokane links forward to Spokane, Washington anyway, this is the Spokane everyone knows. And why stop at Washington? Washington itself is confusing, whose to say this isn't a place in the City of Washington? So will this be Audubon/Downriver, Spokane, Washington State? And maybe that isn't specific enough, so Audubon/Downriver, Spokane, Washington State, USA? Audubon/Downriver, Spokane, Washington State, USA, Earth? Audubon/Downriver, Spokane, Washington State, USA, Earth, Solar System? Audubon/Downriver, Spokane, Washington State, USA, Earth, Solar System, Milky Way? A never ending loop of more and more postfixes? Where does it end?לילך5 (talk) 20:20, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. I see no point to this whatsoever. -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:54, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. I agree with the two users in opposition above me. It's pointless and IMO it looks bad at the top of the article. Once this has been resolved, and if it is opposed, can we move back the other articles? Someone already moved Spokane's other pages to the new, so far without support, naming template. - Just moved the seven or so other Spokane neighborhoods that had been moved to neighborhood, city, state format before this discussion was initiated to maintain continuity of how the city's neighborhoods are listed until the discussion is complete and a format is settled upon. Still in opposition to the format change proposed. SpokaneWilly (talk) 23:07, 22 July 2022 (UTC)

- Oppose - Like others have said, I don't think that's really necessary unless there's a guideline to follow. Doing a quick search, I found this discussion in 2009 to try to make these types of articles more uniform, but found no discussions on the topic more recently which means anything goes I guess unless we need to differentiate these neighborhood articles from another Spokane...Spokane, Missouri? If there is a guideline, a lot of work needs to be done to move a bunch of neighborhood pages to that new format. After the Spokane articles, we have to move other similar articles like the ones found in List of neighborhoods in Buffalo, New York, List of Salt Lake City neighborhoods, Neighborhoods of Omaha, Nebraska, Neighborhoods of Kansas City, Missouri, and Neighborhoods in Toledo, Ohio, and many more. Looks like Neighborhoods of Portland, Oregon got the memo though! T85cr1ft19m1n (talk) 00:40, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. Per the redirect from Spokane and the lead of Spokane (disambiguation), the city in Washington is the primary topic for the term "Spokane" without any additional qualification. As such, the current article naming convention for the neighborhoods is parsimonious and adequate. --Kinu t/c 19:58, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
