Oops. [1] The first error, "Sijbrand" → "Sbrand" was totally accidental. I have visual disability, and occasionally I fumble the keys without always noticing. (On the whole, I am making less typos than I expected.) My apologies and thanks for catching.
Your other reversion is rather harder to understand, Jvhertum ... that's not a natural or well-formed word order in English. Sorry, it just isn't. I see you're an editor with a gazillion years' WP experience, but still! Saying "After the end of the war, Balkema in 1946 sold his bookstore in Amsterdam" comes off as stiff and clumsy. If you don't like my rephrase, please write another one, but for the sake of easy-to-read prose don't leave the sentence so awkwardly framed. Thanks.
