Translation

edit

Part of the section on her case history was translated from the German Wikipedia article on Alois Alzheimer. Mike Hayes (talk) 07:15, 2 October 2010 (UTC) very sad story!!!!!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.104.19.156 (talk) 01:45, 3 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Stub tag?

edit

Seems inappropriate here. Without posting details of her case history the article cannot be enlarged. I think the stub tag should be removed on that basis. Setwisohi (talk) 12:49, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Reference

edit

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9167474 would make a reasonable addition. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.115.94.176 (talk) 05:21, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

References

edit

I just removed a few links and references that were pointing back to the German wikipedia articles on Auguste Deter, Irrenschloss, and Dr Alois Alzheimer. It's cool to translate from those articles, but they're not appropriate references. And furthermore we shouldn't link directly to them within the text of the article itself (but rather to the equivalent English-language wiki page, if it exists.) Carl or Karl?

edit

Was her husband's name Carl or Karl? If it isn't known for sure, it seems strange to put the much more common version in the parentheses. 93.136.147.244 (talk) 05:39, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'm assuming Karl is his naitive name and Carl is the anglicised version. EmilySarah99 (talk) 09:29, 17 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Who is Auguste & Her Family?

edit

This article is missing so much. Auguste's daughter has a name and needs to be inserted, Carl had a lot more involvements when Auguste was in the hospital, and Auguste needs information before her illness. This article represents Auguste and there needs to be awareness of who she was before she became ill. There are many people who have loved ones who get Alziehmers and I feel it is important to represent all those individuals through Auguste. Those people had average lives just like her. I will be working on it in my sandbox and I will mostly be focusing on the "Life" section. I will find a way to post that so you guys can see what I am working on before I add additional information and additional sources. Nataliedardon (talk) 17:16, 1 March 2021 (UTC)nataliedardonReply

1890s?

edit

I cannot find any information about Auguste developing dementia in the late 1890s. All I can find is 1901 and beyond. Can someone find a source and if not I would highly suggest changing it. I do not want to make such changes in case I am wrong. Although, I do want to separate the late 1890s from her rapid behavioural changes. She did not start screaming in the middle of the night until 1901. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nataliedardon (talkcontribs) 00:51, 4 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
