The description of the son lighting his fire from his father's fire suggests to me that this entire set of rites is only practiced by brahmins and other high caste Hindus---and NOT by Hindus in general. Is this so? If this is the case, then I think the article, and other articles about various Hindu religious practices should reflect this.
My understanding is that there are many other Hindus out there, perhaps even the majority these days, whose religious practices are not determined by these brahminical or Vedic "norms". Shouldn't this sectarian aspect be mentioned somewhere, instead of giving readers the impression that what "high" caste Hindus do is what all Hindus do?
