Merge

edit

I've suggested that the articles for the individual books be merged into this article, as the books are not very notable alone. -- Mikeblas (talk) 11:45, 10 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Done! All three Three Bedrooms, One Corpse, A Bone to Pick and Real Murders merged. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 09:08, 13 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Remaining book summaries?

edit

I've cleaned up the existing summaries somewhat since they repeated things like the author's name for each book, but for consistency I think either the individual descriptions should be removed or the summaries of the remaining books should be added. 156.57.196.212 (talk) 20:58, 12 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Repetition is a problem (although I see you've left in the description of the character's height, which seems irrelevant to the plot summaries), but the larger problem is that all of the summaries read like promotional copy from the publisher. Google doesn't find similar wording on any sites except those that crib their info from WP, but I'd bet money that this was in fact taken - largely verbatim - from a published source. They need to be rewritten entirely, preferably by someone personally familiar with the books that isn't a fanboy/girl. There is the additional problem that someone who contributed the original summaries or someone who edited them later is confusing the telefilm adaptations with the books. Since the article begins by describing the literary character, the throughline of the article should be about the books with a section about the adaptations. The problem manifests in that the plot descriptions appear to be about the books yet refer to the setting as Washington state, when in fact the books are set in Georgia. The adaptations are set in Washington. Canonblack (talk) 13:38, 22 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Locale

edit

I'm surprised that Lawrenceville was placed in Georgia. The movie version of "Three Bedrooms, One Corpse" mention the cities Spokane & Portland, cities in the Pacific Northwest. But the movie version of "A Bundle of Trouble" mentions Corinth, & while there is a town by that name in Georgia no such place in Oregon or Washington is named that. -- llywrch (talk) 20:23, 10 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Since the movies are filmed in Vancouver it is easier/more realistic to ascribe the American setting, and its related scenery, to somewhere else in the Pacific Northwest rather than in Georgia.--205.175.128.5 (talk) 21:29, 20 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Can someone please help fix the problem with the visibility of the plot summary for the 10th installment? It has been written but does not appear when viewing the page.

The TV movie characters table no longer works

edit

The table for the TV movie characters at this article no longer works (no longer fits on the screen; is too large and busy to be easily readable; etc.). I would strongly advocate that it be replaced with something that is actually useful. For example, we do not need to know which actors are in which films at this particular article (that would be appropriate on an article on just the TV movies).

Hopefully someone can come up with a solution here. --IJBall (contribstalk) 04:12, 7 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

I disagree. It IS large, but it is useful to those who care about which characters are in which films. I don’t agree that it is not easily readable. Since Aurora Teagarden doesn’t currently have a separate page just for the TV movies, it’s appropriate to include here. Rcarter555 (talk) 07:20, 7 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
It's an unreadable mess. --IJBall (contribstalk) 13:17, 7 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Let’s see what others have to say to see if there’s a consensus to change it. Rcarter555 (talk) 14:15, 7 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
