Un-necessary Stats

edit

I appreciate the effort that FastCube has put into this page however it now seems a little out of control and in particular there are two data sets that I think are going to be very challenging to maintain and ensure the accuracy of, once the national team returns to normal scheduling. These are the tables: Most appearances per Australian club and Most goals per Australian club. I suggest these need to be deleted. Any opposing thoughts? Referring to the England national football team records and statistics, I had this idea. I do know that some clubs don't source players caps and goals for each club, but using the Encyclopedia of Socceroos book, is basically the source I am using since it lists all clubs and years in appearances for every player. It's tough work, but I also understand it's not good work too. --FastCube (talk) 08:28, 26 February 2021 (UTC)FastCubeReply
Noting your comments then FastCube and with no other supporting comments then I think it is best removed. Sounds like it is going to take you a lot of effort to just set it up and then it will be challenging to maintain. If there are any errors then there is no reference point for other users to correct it (unless they happen to own that book you reference and re-do all the manual calculations). Finally, there is the issue of WP:NOTSTATS. Perhaps best to delete before you invest any more time only to have it removed later. Clifton9 (talk) 07:25, 16 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
I agree, I think if there was a reliable source of all clubs, this wouldn't be a problem. As for WP:NOTSTATS too, I will remove the tables and have a better look online for any kind of sources. --FastCube (talk) 07:32, 16 March 2021 (UTC)FastCubeReply

Oldest debutant is wrong

edit

Johnny Peebles was 34 years, 5 months when he debuted against NZ. I'm not saying he's the oldest but the currently listed names are wrong. Hack (talk) 02:41, 30 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

George Raitt was 35 years, 10 months in his debut against Canada. Hack (talk) 06:26, 6 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
