Return cost

Service refurbishmnet
editAccording to http://www.pta.wa.gov.au/Portals/0/annualreports/2010/transwa/transwa-trains/index.html the Australind train service is currently experiencing a train refurbishment with new passenger seats being fitted. Do you think this should be mentioned in this article?
Rolling stock
editThe article was flagged with the Diesel multiple units of Western Australia category as it is two pronged, covering both the service and the rolling stock.
A work around would be to have a separate article for the DMUs, but based on the size of both sections and amount of duplication that would result, I am assuming this is why both were originally included on the one article. Same principal has been appilied to the Transwa AvonLink and Transwa Prospector articles.
So should the DMUs of WA category be reinstated to this article, or a stand-alone article for the DMU stock be created? Mo7838 (talk) 10:09, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
- Rolling stock categories should never be added to a rail line or rail service article. If you want to take time to create a separate article for the DMUs, feel free, but not particular necessary.--Aaron-Tripel (talk) 11:02, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
- DMUs exist in separate gauges for a start - AvonLink and Prospector are standard gauge, Australind is narrow gauge... articles about them should be separate from services... satusuro 12:51, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
- Agreed. Also, Australind (AYC/AYD carriages and ADP/ADQ) and Prospector (WCA/WCE and WDA/WDB/WDC) have each had two very different sets of rolling stock. All of these combinations should have their own article separate from the article about the trains they were used on. The May/Gray book indicates that they're all notable.
