UK: use as a theme tune and for an advert...

edit

An except of Autobahn was used as a theme tune - the segment from 9:10 to 9:20 - but I can't remember the programme...
It was shown on Britain some time in the mid to late 1970's - possibly a BBC children's drama ?

And different excerpts were used as the music in a TV advert for the Birmingham Midshires building society.

It was a BBC children's drama, a single series of six or seven episodes. It was partly set in a gymnasium around a young trampolinist who was training for a competition, and their coach. It was some kind of mystery/crime/detective/whodunnit story, I don't recall any more of the plot, nothing of the prog's name. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 20:37, 20 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

The BBC World Service programme Science in Action used an excerpt starting from 3:23 as their signature tune from at least January 1994[1] until December 1998[2]. A longer excerpt can be heard in this random example from 1997. I still have an unbreakable association between SiA and Autobahn, even though it's been over two decades since it was last used!
