Popular music
editThe opening sentence "Popular music, by definition, is designed for mass appeal.[9] " is a bit gnomic. It could be read as the beginning of an argument to the effect that "avant garde pop" is a contradiction in terms, although the rest of the section does not support that conclusion. Rewrite needed?

- I think that sentence doesn't add anything to the subject and might well be omitted. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 02:49, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
