Family?

someone should be ashamed !!!
editI worked for a division of this great company for 15 years and I am saddened after reading this listing. No offense, but who really cares that Jon Avnet sold his inherited shares to make Risky Business !! This is a company rich in history second to none, including Arrow Electronics. How do we explain no mention of the people responsible for making Avnet the company it is today like Tony Hamilton and Leon Machiz ? Leon Machiz was one of the most incredible people to walk through distribution before us, yet no mention. The industry would not exsist as it does today without his vision. Someone really needs to fix this.

- Instead of complaining about it, help fix the page? The challenge is POV neutral, cited material to source from. If you just put your own perspective about someone that's going to get deleted. Just see above, the first item in this talk page is the company boilerplate that got removed because it's not cited with supporting documentation to back up the claims. It's very frustrating. Merge EBV Elektronik into this article
editI suggest merging EBV Elektronik page with the it's parent company's page since there isn't significant notability to establish an independent entry and this would help fill out the information in the Avnet page. BcRIPster (talk) 21:08, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

- Editor states that this is a class project. If this is the case, please let me know once it's been graded, as I may still remove portions of the content as non encyclopedically relevant. K.e.coffman (talk) 04:39, 3 April 2017 (UTC)

editI was a Buyer in Aerospace in 1976, and they were calling themselves "Hamilton Avnet" then. Suggest you dog a bit deeper on this one. 2603:8000:8903:74FC:CDF4:F69F:FE06:8FC2 (talk) 18:55, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
