Why alter/ reamend avril angers,it was giving more info on her,i wanted to find out whom that person was in all creatures great and small and I went to great lengths to find out whom it was,,it wasnt disruptive, she was one of the main characters in that episode Drew270 (talk) 14:44, 8 September 2019 (UTC)drew270Drew270 (talk) 14:44, 8 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
First of all just adding content, even if accurate, isn't always a good thing: there's such a thing as too much information: see WP:IINFO. In this case, the existing text is a balanced sentence listing the various TV series Angers appeared in: suddenly heading off on a tangent to go into exhaustive detail about one particular role disrupts the flow and is likely to confuse or frustrate the reader. It's particularly misleading in that, as noted in All Creatures Great and Small (TV series), she actually appeared in two different episodes of the series in two different roles: as Miss Dooley in "Pups, Pigs and Pickle", and as Molly Shadwell in "A Friend for Life". If you wanted to restructure the section to include a list or table of all the series she appeared in and the parts she played (compare, e.g., Keith Marsh), that would be a different matter and I'd have no objection. Second, your edit badly broke the syntax by removing the end of the italics for the series title, meaning that the latter two thirds of the paragraph appeared in italics. Did you even bother to look at it after making your edit? Also, for reasons beyond me, you removed the pipe from the series title, so that instead of reading "All Creatures Great and Small" it read "All Creatures Great and Small (TV series)", which helps nobody. Third, your edit is sloppy and full of grammatical errors, like suddenly capitalising "Where" in the middle of a sentence, likewise sticking a full stop in the middle of a sentence, and omitting a space. Not to mention the ambiguity of the word "expectant": does that mean pregnant or anticipating something? Is it Miss Dooley or her Yorkshire Terrier who is expectant? There are dozens of problems with your edit, and nothing to be said in its favour, which is why I reverted. GrindtXX (talk) 17:03, 10 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
