NOTE: large untranslated portions are hidden text
editI translated just the intro, there are a bunch of historical details left as hidden text in Catalan. Feel free to chip away at those if you find it useful. MatthewVanitas (talk) 21:26, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
No soldier bangs their spear or knife on the ground to make sparks, such behaviour would damage their only means of surviving battle. It is said elsewhere in the article on Amalgovars that they carried flints to make sparks. Striking the back blunt part of a weapon on the flint is what is being described — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.235.118.49 (talk) 09:28, 12 December 2019 (UTC)
- its seems you dont know what you are talking about. They werent "soldiers". They were fierce and brutal frontiersmen, gaining castles by sheer pshycological warfare. You shouldnt have erased that detail, its fuckin well documented in the chronicles of Ramon Muntaner, an almogaver himself (countermaster of La Gran Companyia Catalana, which should be linked here). - The result was do not merge into Almogavar. -- DarkCrowCaw 12:33, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
At present, this is only a stub. The Catalan text may more but is yet only a potential contribution. Should this be merged to Almogavar?
- The Catalan text is pretty huge and well-referenced. The article is pretty specific to the war-cry itself, and there are articles on similar war-cries, so I wouldn't be too hasty to merge. Maybe just ensure there's a wikilink to this article from Almogavar? MatthewVanitas (talk) 04:22, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- I agree that a merger is not needed. Even though it is a stub-like article, it stands alone and could be expanded on its own.Gofigure41 00:05, 12 March 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gofigure41 (talk • contribs)
