Removing Actinophryida from Actinochrysophyceae

The recent and fairly well-received (37 citations) paper by Cavalier-Smith & Scoble in 2013 moved the Actinophryids to the Raphidomonadea and that change has been instituted gradually and inconsistently into articles since that time. I'd like to get feedback from anyone who disagrees with the proposal to move the Actinophryid order officially into the Raphidomonadea class and update all the taxoboxes with this new information. Mind you, some of those citations are in later papers by Jojo and TC-S. ;) Also, not all of the others are friendly (I see Patterson didn't like being told his stramenopiles are redundant!) Self-consistency within Wikipedia is a great goal, but I don't think it will be achieved as long as researchers who work on microbial eukaryotes are separated into taxonomic factions (roughly, the ISOP consensus vs. TC-S). Note that the entry on actinophryids in the recent Handbook of Protists (edited by Archibald et al.) makes no mention of Raphidomonadea, and simply places actinophryids (uncontroversially) under SAR and Stramenopiles. Maybe the UniEuk initiative will settle things, but that might take a while! In the meantime, while I'm skeptical about some of Cavalier-Smith's taxa (Hacrobia, in particular, and more generally, the proliferation of named groups simply to fill slots in a ranked hierarchy), I won't object to your proposal.  Deuterostome  (Talk) 15:38, 3 January 2018 (UTC)
