These words "Azarethes (Greek: Ἀζαρέθης), also recorded as Exarath (Ἑξαράθ) and Zuraq" must be Grecized and Arabized (Zuraq) forms of a Middle Persian word, but the patterns are strange. Does anyone have more info on his name? (more variations, etc?) --Z11:48, 21 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
I think Suhrab is unrelated based on the rules of sound changes in Arabic, moreover, Suhrab is a relatively recent form if I'm not mistaken, and the earlier variants are Suxrāb/Surxāb also recorded in New Persian (I'm not quite sure about this though, and more research needs to be done). --Z19:04, 11 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
