Victor Wooten
editvictor wooten freakin rocks
I totally agree. In fact, the whole band freakin rocks. I recently heard them for the first time (on 'Live at the Quick') and I was blown away. Bela's electric banjo playing is awesome and Victor performs feats beyond any other bassist's dreams. As for percussion - no other band even has a synth axe drumitar.
Template
editI worked up a Flecktones template, based on what other bands have (see Template:The Beatles or Template:Metallica).
What do you think? Anything I should add to it? Dan 21:28, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- Alright then, if there are no objections, I'll start adding it to the album/band member pages. Dan 15:56, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Cuckoo's Nest: the film?
editBéla Fleck and the Flecktones and Modernism
editThis entire section appears to be Original Research. Furthermore this it is based on a nonstandard usage of Modernism that can not be supported. From the Modernism page:
specifically, the term describes both a set of cultural tendencies and an array of associated cultural movements, originally arising from wide-scale and far-reaching changes to Western society in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
As such it is rarely if ever used to describe music. There may be things to say about innovation by the band but they would need to be supported by citations, and be noteworthy enough to distinguish them. The use of the term modernism in this respect can not be supported. Tallus (talk) 21:21, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
Agreed. The section reads like a high school report instead of a wikipedia article. Any objections to deletion?

My thoughts exactly. Delete? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.238.96.233 (talk) 14:39, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
Please delete this section. It is entirely fatuous. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.124.109.94 (talk) 20:43, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
band history
editGood article, interview with Fleck, some insights into band's history: [1] Has some stuff that could be useful here. --Fru1tbat (talk) 15:52, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
New drumitar
editAs of 2011, Future Man seems to have a brand new custom drumitar that is not SynthAxe-based. Could use an update to the history section to address this. 24.38.102.53 (talk) 15:29, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
I found these sources in the references section but...
editOk, I found these in the references section. They weren't placed as inline citations; two are dead links, and the last two have real potential for use there in the text. Thanks. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 11:22, 7 April 2012 (UTC)

Sam Bush?
editIs there a reason Sam Bush is not counted as a member after touring with the band in 1995? 50.68.8.184 (talk) 01:23, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
