Talk:B-cell lymphoma

Latest comment: 3 years ago by Federica Viazzi (AO AL) in topic deleting guidelines

"Indolent lymphomas respond rapidly to treatment and are kept under control (in remission) with long-term survival of many years, but are not cured. Aggressive lymphomas usually require intensive treatments, but have good prospects for a permanent cure."

This isn't really true. Some indolent tumours respond poorly to chemotherapy (as most chemotherapy relies on cell division). Conversely, some high grade lymphomas do indeed respond with intensive treatment with a good chance of remission (e.g Burkitt lymphoma, but there are numerous high grade lymphomas with poor prognosis (DLBCL, anaplastic, etc). deleting guidelines

edit

Hi, @Ruslik0: could you explain me why have you delete the guidelines? My edits are part of GLAM project and all the suggestions are from MD doctors. Thank you so much!! :) --Federica Viazzi (AO AL) (talk) 14:09, 28 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Because it is not clear why this particular guideline should be promoted as the only authoritative guideline without any discussion of other guidelines and without citing any secondary sources. In addition, this particular guideline is manifestly out of place in this article, which is about any B-cell lymphoma, while the guideline is for the treatment of a specific subtype of it (DLBCL). Ok, thanks @Ruslik0: I will search further information. --Federica Viazzi (AO AL) (talk) 10:30, 29 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
