Timeline?
editI want to get consensus before I put the work into this. Should this variant have a timeline? kencf0618 (talk) 13:17, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Kencf0618: I don't see why not. There's currently a prose description equivalent to a timeline, but something graphic would be nicer, if that's what you're thinking. Edward-Woodrow :) [talk] 13:20, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- Upon reflection, Pirola deserves a timeline if and when it gets jacked up to a "Variant of Concern". kencf0618 (talk) 13:58, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
JN.1 is dominant now
editAs Wikipedia says, "Its descendant JN.1 (BA.2.86.1.1) became the dominating Lineage in Winter 2023/2024".
We could be more specific what Winter means here, when did it become dominant, and is it already 99% or 100% of detected variants, JN.1 and subvariants? So if one becomes infected NOW in September 2024 or October 2024, is it in 100% certainty a JN.1 subvariant?
Can we found speculative forecasts what will be dominant in Winter 2024/2025, and Spring 2025?
