Talk:BBC Parliament

We've still got Analogue Cable here in Birmingham (Telewest) and BBC Parliament is available full-screen. I'm a little reluctant to put that in (and on BBC), as Analogue Cable's sure to be cut off eventually. The question is, should it be noted now while it IS available? -- Darac 13:07, 14 Jan 2004 (UTC)

BBC Parliament on DAB

edit

BBC Parliament was on DAB for a short while (source), but I am not sure for how long. If anyone can find more information, this needs adding into the article. --tgheretford (talk) 21:57, 29 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

It was from the service launch in 23 September 1998 [1] until Auntie started her "the five 'digital only' services in 2002".  BRIANTIST  (talk) 08:07, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

The BBC will provide sound-only transmission of the service on DTT. The channel will also be offered on the BBC’s DAB services and the BBC’s online public services through both audio and, in due course, video feeds in real time. Although full transmission on DTT will not be available straight away because of limited capacity on the BBC multiplex, the BBC expects Section 2, Scope, defines the distribution methods for the service, including DTT and online. The BBC Trust has not included the reference to being offered on DAB as BBC Parliament has never been available in this way.
