Why COI?

edit

This article refers to WP:COI but fails to identify any e.g. WP:NPOV violations... WP:WHYCOI? -- samj inout 17:36, 26 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

As seen in the edit summary to this edit:

These Changes are made by Accelrys Inc. Please do not attempt to change the content

there were clearly {{COI}} concerns at one point in time. These concerns have largely been removed by subsequent edits therefore I have now taken the COI banner down. Boghog2 (talk) 19:06, 26 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Ok so lets leave this discussion here for the time being just in case they recur. Putting the {{COI}} tag on the talk page is another option for less severe/inactive cases. Thanks! -- samj inout 05:16, 28 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Continued COI editing

edit

This article and those of Accelrys' products have been substantially edited by Accelrys employees and partners. These include, but are not limited to: User:Stooof, User:Nicksfcole, User:71.6.23.26, User:Rohit2008, User:Hzhou-accelrys, User:67.52.158.60, User:67.52.158.62, and MANY more. The trail of COI is overwhelming and would be a fun witch hunt. Krushia (talk) 23:21, 20 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Possible page renaming

edit

Since Accelrys has been eaten by BIOVIA, it might be useful to rename and move the page and bring it up to date... anyone have thoughts on this? Mary Mark Ockerbloom (talk) 20:38, 23 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

BIOVIA is not the name of a company but is a brand name owned by Dassault Systèmes which they use for their chemical software. It was introduced in 2014 when Dassault bought Accelrys."Dassault Systèmes Introduces BIOVIA". 21 May 2014. Retrieved 14 June 2020. As such, I believe that the correct action would be to merge this page with that for Dassault Systèmes. Michael D. Turnbull (talk) 17:44, 14 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
