This and the portuguese page (of which this started as a translation) state that the BR-3 was the original name for the JF to BH section of the BR-040 but the portuguese page on the BR-3 suggests it was the RJ to JF section. On the other hand these two external links: [1] and [2] reckon it was the whole RJ to BH stretch.

To me that last is the most likely but I'm not sure. Anyone got any thoughts or further information? Bagunceiro (talk) 19:30, 30 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
