The unref param

edit

I'm adding "unref=yes" here because for a locomotive of such high importance (the last steam loco built by BR), there should be more than one reference work used and cited. There has got to be more information about this locomotive. Slambo (Speak) 16:22, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've added two more references. I agree that we should have both more references and more information on this article, Evening Star is one of the more important British steam locos. Gwernol 17:38, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
An excerpt of the speech given by R F Hanks is printed on the opening page of the ARHS North Williamstown Museum railway guide to exhibits. (Such a great speech, it literally echoed around the world!) I've used this as a further reference. Zzrbiker 09:17, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have made a change to the listed tractive effort of the locomotive. This is going on information from 3 sources. "British locomotives of the 20th century by O.S.Nock" "The book of the 9F 2-10-0's by Richard Derry ISBN 1-903266-73-4" and a General arrangement diagram I have in my possession. Can you please return Evening Star to steam and let it be part of the filming for The School Wars Saga based of the Star Wars Trilogy? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.18.70.168 (talk) 18:07, 31 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

I suspect, based on your question, that you found one of our over 3.7 million articles and thought we were affiliated in some way with that subject. Please note that you are at Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia that anyone can edit, and this page is for discussion on how to improve the BR standard class 9F 92220 Evening Star article. --Redrose64 (talk) 19:01, 31 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
