Merge proposal
editI have proposed that the article Babylon (Egypt) be merged into this article because all, or nearly all, of the information in the former article, which is also shorter and less well developed, is also contained here. The only real issue, it seems to me, is whether Babylon (Egypt) or Babylon Fortress is the better location for the article.--ShelfSkewed Talk 20:30, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Good idea. I think Babylon fortress is the best location as it is a striking and well known structure, with a redirect from Babylon (Egypt).--Charles (talk) 20:41, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Not a good idea at all as there is a big difference between the fortress of Babylon and the city of Babylon notwithstanding their same geographical location. Dioscorus Boles —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.134.144.103 (talk) 22:23, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
The Great Aqueduct
editIn your main subject matter, you mention "The Great Aqueduct", but the only modern mention of this structure seems to be this; http://www.gordonmoyes.com/2009/08/07/egypts-great-aqueduct/ Which describes a structure built about 1500 CE! How do we seperate mention of a "great aqueduct" by Strabo, about 1 AD?, with the above?69.92.23.64 (talk) 17:21, 31 March 2010 (UTC)Ronald L. Hughes
A good history of this place can be found at; http://touregypt.net/featurestories/babylon.htm Mentioned at this site is "the Hanging Coptic church", is it significant in any way that Babylon, in Mesopotamia, was famous for its "Hanging Gardens?"69.92.23.64 (talk) 17:32, 31 March 2010 (UTC)Ronald L. The Name section says citation needed.
editThat really annoys me since the name is why I came here.--JaredMithrandir (talk) 13:14, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
