is it really back, while the name of the town is baych? kwami (talk) 06:23, 22 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Locals pronounce it baych. The Bache isn't a town it is a small suburb of Chester, Cheshire, England. The word comes the AngloSaxon for a stream. Yes, there is a stream running through it in a small sandstone gorge. 11:27 2 Jan 2008. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.146.59.5 (talk) 11:29, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Actually the Bache was a tidal lagoon that is now under the Morrisons supermarket. Before the River Dee's course was changed in the mid 18th century and before the canal was built across the lower reaches of the Bache brook, the River Dee was connect to the Bache throught the the creek (where the Deva Way now runs). The geography bares testimony to that because the bottom of Liverpool Road (at Morrisons roundabout) is the lowest point in the area.
