rhetoric

edit

The rhetoric of the whole article is very weak and subjective, almost as if one guy wrote it by himself on lonely night and it built on top of that, it is really bad, needs clean up quick! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.1.237.108 (talk) 19:37, 20 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

attention tag

edit

I removed the attention tag and rephrased it slightly. If it needs attention, in future please specify WHY. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Splintax (talkcontribs) 12:36, 21 April 2005

Pad vs. Apartment

edit

I have never heard of a distinction between bachelor 'pads' and bachelor 'apartments.' Oyo 07:47, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

A bachelor apartment is a very common term in Canada. (Judging from a Google search, it is predominantly Canadian). It means a small apartment with one primary room for living/sleeping -- although a small kitchen is often in a separate room. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.61.255.171 (talk) 19:03, 5 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ghostbusters?

edit

Why on Earth is that an example? At best maybe the sequel (Peter's apartment), but even that is not a clear example. -62.219.97.87 (talk) 17:52, 3 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

What is a bachelor pad?

edit

Is it a sophisticated, minimalist piece of Gesamtkunstwerk, designed for the sole purpose of luring starry-eyed females onto the extendable couch, or a filthy mess, suffering from years of neglect, that has never felt a "woman's touch" in its life, let alone actually seen one inside it? The article is somewhat confusing about what constitues a "bachelor pad" and what is just a "bachelor's flat". -- megA (talk) 15:22, 18 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Bro zone"

edit

The last paragraph of the first section defines a Bro Zone and mentions that "Bro Zone" is synonymous with "bachelor pad." By the definition given, I do not see them as synonyms, as they cannot be interchanged. A "Bro Zone" is a type of "bachelor pad," not another name for one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Plcaine (talkcontribs) 21:10, 14 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

worth adding is in Australia at least the term man cave(a male only dwelling dedicated to their personal likes. beer, tv, computer games, etc) also is considered a bachelor pad space. normally though a man cave is what the bachelor pad devolves into once finally married.152.91.9.153 (talk) 03:06, 8 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
